Players Trying To Punch Ticket To Edmonton In BC Triples…

This weekend will be the last opportunity for BC players to make their way to the Canadian Championships  being held later this summer in Edmonton, Alberta at the Commonwealth Lawn Bowls Club.

The 2016 BC Provincial Triples starts this morning at the Victoria Lawn Bowling Club in Beacon Hill Park. A jammed packed weekend will feature teams from across the Province that have made their way to the South Island – 12 Men’s and 10 Women’s Teams will hit the greens all weekend in a modified double knockout format, trying to claim this years Provincial Triples title.

Some Teams To Watch This Weekend

Past Champions Jenny Siu heads over to the Island with here 2015 Canadian Silver Medal Team. Mary Wright has been hot all summer long as she is just coming off the Senior Triples and Singles Gold Medals. Keep a close eye on Lynn Chwartacki’s Team as Lynn has come close with a few Silvers already this year. Of course you can never count out Skip Josephine Lee’s Team as winning is in Josephine’s nature and has proved that over the past 10 years.

On the Men’s side, Cary Manns made the trip with steady lead Clement Law and added Stanley Chow. Steven Santana is fresh off a World Bowls selection with Derek Kaufman and Joe Hunt. Continuing on from their Fours Team, Jamie MacGowan teams up with George Cubiss and Davie Mathie to make a run for the title. With Stephen Yung and company making the bottom of the draw section interesting.
