BC Provincial Pairs Championships Conclude with Stellar Performances

New Westminster, BC – August 2, 2024 – The BC Provincial Pairs Championships, held this past weekend at the New Westminster Lawn Bowling Club, showcased the finest talent in the sport with thrilling matches and exceptional skill. Lawn bowlers from across the province competed fiercely, resulting in a memorable weekend filled with camaraderie and sportsmanship.

The event featured intense competition across both the men’s and women’s categories, with participants displaying remarkable precision and strategy. The New Westminster LBC provided a perfect backdrop for the championships, offering pristine greens and an enthusiastic crowd.

Men’s Medal Winners:

  • Gold: Cary Manns (North Vancouver LBC) & Dave Baldwin (White Rock LBC)
  • Silver: Kelvin Lai & Daniel Au (Richmond LBC)
  • Bronze: Ryan Pollard & Auzzie Chambers (White Rock LBC)

Women’s Medal Winners:

  • Gold: Lisa Cheung & Sarina Mak (Richmond LBC)
  • Silver: Kim Sawyer (North Vancouver LBC) & Brooke Webber (New Westminster LBC)
  • Bronze: June Huang & Ivy Qian (Richmond LBC)

Cary Manns and Dave Baldwin emerged as the champions in the men’s category, demonstrating impeccable teamwork and skill. In the women’s category, Lisa Cheung and Sarina Mak took home the gold with their outstanding performance, reinforcing Richmond LBC’s strong presence in the tournament.

This year’s BC Provincial Pairs Championships were a true testament to the dedication and talent within our lawn bowling community, We are incredibly proud of all the participants and extend our heartfelt congratulations to the medalists.
