info@bowlsbc.com Over the weekend of July 4th – 6th the ladies best Provincial pairs teams came together to compete at the sunshine filled North Vancouver LBC in an attempt at the title as the provincial Gold medalist. 16 teams came together with great enthusiasm on the Friday and began the competition through the qualifying and seeding rounds. After two long competitive days, we would be set.
On our playoff day, Sunday, we were treated to 8 well deserving teams as they go through to the playoff rounds in front of the NVLBC spectators.
The sunny days, and well paced greens made the weekend very enjoyable for those involved.
As the ladies battled through their quarterfinal matchups and two thrilling semi final matches, the Gold medal match was set, as lisa Cheung and Jenny Hansen would play in the finals for the opportunity to represent BC at the National competition against Mary Wright and Fanny Yeung in view of a live streamed audience.
After a great game, and a close measure for the victory, the Gold Medal went to Mary Wright and Fanny Yeung in a highly competitive match.
Well done and a great game to our silver medalist Lisa Cheung and Jenny Hansen.
Job well done to all the competitors.
