It's taken 11 years to accomplish but Canada has won a Gold Medal at the Asia Pacific Championships. It wasn't a dream start for the Canadian duo but they hung in there are roared over the line to win GOLD. The 2015 Asia Pacific Championships came to a close for Team Canada with Ryan.

It was a great day for the Team Canada yesterday as the Men's Pairs Team of Steven Santana and Ryan Bester advanced to the Gold Medal game by beating the high profile Australian duo of Nathan Rice and Ray Pearse. It was an all out battle that saw the long time friends come out on.

Team Canada will head overseas in a few days to compete in the Asia Pacific Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand. The Team will be there from Nov 24th - Dec 6th and will consist of 5 Women & 5 Men from across the country. British Columbia is represented by Bowls Superstar Steve Santana who will.

The International Bowls For The Disabled World Championships are taking place in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. The competition runs from February 16th through 27th, 2015 at the Hutt Bowling Club and Naenae Bowling Club. Competitors from all over the World have gathered in New Zealand to try and become this years World Champion.

Gord Fall & Glen Taylor roll bowls for Cancer research - Colwood, BC Veteran lawn bowlers mixed with youngsters last weekend in Colwood during an annual fundraiser that aims to kick cancer in the butt. The 12th annual Bowl for the Cure attracted nearly a full field of 160 bowlers for the two-day fun.

As Provincial hosts for the National Mixed Pairs Championship, B.C. sent two teams to the Parksville Lawn Bowling Club and both came home with medals. After round robin play over the Sept. 7 week, B.C.’s ‘A’ team, Christie Grahame (Skip) and Marlene Cleutinx, finished at the top of the board taking only one loss to Saskatchewan’s.
