24th Annual Presidents’ Awards – Sport BC is pleased to announce the following recipients of the prestigious Presidents’ Awards presented by Sports with Balls. This group is comprised of the following Provincial Sport Organizations – Basketball BC, Volleyball BC, BC Lacrosse, BC Soccer, Softball BC, Baseball BC, BC Rugby, Tennis BC, BC Ringette, along with Bowls BC. The Awards ceremony took place in Vancouver on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 preceding the Athlete of the Year Awards.

This year in 2018 there were recipients that represented 20 communities and 37 Sport BC member and partner organizations across British Columbia. Bowls BC was honoured to have Annie Mathie (Juan De Fuca LBC) represent our Sport in the Province.

It was a busy year for Annie as she was not only organizing her Club, but she was co-chair of the Canadian Championships, along with competing on the greens. She has been one of the Provinces most accomplished Bowlers in the past 10 years. Her volunteer hours are countless and without someone like Annie in the Bowls BC organization it would definitely not be the same.

On behalf of Bowls BC I would like to take the time to thank Annie for her contribution to the Sport in our Province both on and off the greens. A massive congratulations once again for receiving the 2018 Sport BC Presidents Award.

The annual Presidents’ Awards, is presented by Sports with Balls, now in its 24th year, are presented to volunteers from Sport BC member and partner organizations who represent the spirit of volunteerism, and whose dedication, energy and commitment contribute to the development of their sport or organization in the province of British Columbia.
