Once again this year the Pacific Indoor Bowls Club is playing host to the 2019 Canadian Indoor Singles Championships. The tournament will run from October 21-26, 2019. This year the field will have 12 Women and 12 Men from across the Country that will make their way to Vancouver to earn the right to represent Canada at the World Bowls Indoor Championships in April 2020 in England.
Two Bowls BC members are entering as defending Champions, Josephine Lee and Hirendra Bhartu will once again be tough to beat on the carpet as they know the PIBC well. Other Bowls BC members include Provincial Women’s Indoor Champion Bobbi Charlton will lead the charge, along with Mary Ann Gilles and Lynn Coules for the women’s division. On the Men’s side we will be Indoor Men’s Champion Jim Aitken along with Provincial Silver Medalist Jim Dulholke.
The 11 game round robin will start at 9am on October 22nd, with the finals wrapping up on October 26th. The winner of both events will carry the flag and represent Canada in 2020 at the World Bowls Indoor Championships.
