Congratulations to Pricilla Westlake from the Tsawwassen Lawn Bowling Club, as she retained her Canadian title this weekend at the North Vancouver LBC. Pricilla went 3-1 in the Round Robin having only lost to Sydney Boyd from Saskatchwan. The Final game would be against Boyd once again but Pricilla came through and showed her talent and experience.

It was a fantastic afternoon out on the greens at the North Vancouver LBC as the medal rounds were sent into action early this morning. It was a Golden day for Carah Webster of British Columbia. With the Medal matches already determined through the round robin play, as Jordon Kos lead the charge with a perfect 7-0.

The 2016 Canadian Junior Championships are set to kick off this morning at the North Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club. Athletes from across Canada will be hitting the greens competing in the Under 18 and Under 25 Championships all week. This is a great opportunity for people to head over to NVLBC to see.

It was a repeat performance from the 2015 BC Mixed Pairs Championships as Hirendra Bhartu and Josephine Lee added to their already impressive Mixed Pairs trophy case. This was the 6th time the duo has won the Mixed Pairs title and 7th for Josephine. They will head off to the Glenridge LBC in Ontario to.

It has been a great weekend of Bowls action at the West Van LBC as the 2016 Mixed Pairs Championships continues. There were some great games that were played today and some that came right down to the wire to make the Final Four. Tomorrow morning will feature the final four so feel free to come.

This weekend we will be the last Provincial Championships of the year as the BC Mixed Pairs Championship being held in West Vancouver, BC. The field of 24 Teams will take to the greens tomorrow with daily draws at 10:00am, 1:30pm and 5:00pm. Come on down to the Club to watch some of the best.

The rosters are set and British Columbia Bowls stars, Pricilla Westlake (Tsawwassen LBC ) and Steven Santana (West Van LBC) will be heading to Christchurch, New Zealand for the 2016 World Bowls Championships. The event will be held from November 29th – December 11th with play split between Burnside Bowling Club, Fendalton Bowling Club and Bowls Papanui..
