B.C. SPORT ORGANIZATIONS STAND TOGETHER TO ERASE BULLYING IN SPORT

Vancouver, B.C. - In a province-wide call to action, provincial sport organizations are being asked to erase bullying in sport by making it a more inclusive and safe environment. viaSport and the Government of British Columbia are encouraging all provincial sport organizations to sign.

As part of the ParticipACTION 150 Play List initiatives, Bowls Canada is promoting a national Bowls Day in Canada on Saturday June 3rd, 2017.  This is an opportunity for Provincial Bowls Associations and affiliated clubs to encourage Canadians to check Lawn Bowls off their ParticipACTION 150 Play List by visiting their local bowls clubs on.

Bowls BC calls for individuals to submit names of candidates to serve on the Board. The Board is seeking candidates to play a role in the stewardship of an organization in transition to a new culture that reflects values such as engagement, transparency, accountability, and other attributes representing leading edge governance. Candidates will have the skill-sets, expertise.

Bowls BC has been working hard to provide more opportunities for its members to participate in tournaments throughout the winter. Having a facility like the Pacific Indoor Bowls Club gives BC Bowlers the chance to play 12 months a year. 25 and 50 Year Pins Pins for bowlers attaining the hallmarks of 25 or 50 years of commitment to the Sport of Lawn bowling are available via Bowls Canada. The number of years bowled is not linked to an individual club. It is the cumulative number of years bowled. Your Club Secretary can confirm the total.
