It was a great 3 days of Bowls on Vancouver Island as both Port Alberni and Qualicum Beach LBC played host to the 2017 BC Senior Championships. This years the competitors were playing for the opportunity to represent BC at the Canadian Senior Championships being held in Peterborough, ON from Aug 24-29. The Women's competition.

As a community Event, to Celebrate the 'Canada 150th./Town of Sidney 50th. The SLBC held a Club 4's tourney on Friday June 30th., and an inter-club Triples Invitational event on July 2nd. It was a great weekend at the Granville Park Lawn Bowling Club as the second Provincial Championships was held, this time it was the Pairs. With the Canadian Championships up for grabs there was no question that Teams had their eye on trying to win to book their ticket to Victoria in August. In the Women's.

It was another great weekend of Bowls at Juan De Fuca LBC as they played host to both the Women's and Men's Fours Provincial Championships. Founded in 1932, the Vancouver & District Bowls Association(V&DBA) has 22 member clubs, several of which have celebrated.

It was a great night for Pricilla as her local council honoured here with an award of achievement. Another great moment for her that tops off an amazing run for her. It will be another busy year for the JDF members as they get ready to for a full slate at the Bowls Club in Victoria, BC.
