It was a fantastic weekend of Lawn Bowls as the BC Provincial Championships were held to determine this years Champions. This year the format would change back to Round Robin play allowing players to play a few games throughout to get ready for the knockout rounds. The BC Youth Championships was held over the weekend and it was a great turnout as the Province's best Youth Bowlers took to the green to win the right to represent BC at the Canadian Youth Championships being held later this summer at the St. James Lawn Bowling Club in Winnipeg. Twenty teams entered the event, coming from a variety of Clubs within the Interior Division of Bowls BC. In addition to the Entry Fee of $1,500.00 collected from the teams, which is turned over as Prize Money, an additional $300.00 was added to the pot through Ca$h Donations from  our Donors.. It was a wonderful weekend and the weather.

The BC Provincial Fours is being played this weekend at the North Vancouver LBC. The weekend started with 14 Women's Teams and 16 Men's Team. The round robin format was adopted for the next couple years that will see pool play through the first couple days based on the team entries. On the Women's side heading.

The Test Match held May 25-27 in Juan de Fuca against Alberta was a great success for both Teams.The Senior and Youth players melded well and put up a great show. Juniors were able to play alongside seasoned veterans. The event provides Juniors and U25 the opportunity to learn and develop skills conducive to the guidelines outlined.
