The BC Senior Triples continues to roll on at the Nanaimo Lawn Bowling Club (Men) and Parksville LBC (Women) - This year the Provincial winners will be off to compete in the Canadian Championships which is being held in Nova Scotia at the Dartmouth LBC & Wanderers LBC. As per usual the Juan De Fuca greens were in great condition as this year JDFLBC hosted the 2016 BC Singles Championships. With some exciting games and wild finishes it was Mary Wright and Gordie Fall taking the titles and moving on to represent British Columbia at the Canadian Championships being held this year.

The start of the second day is about to s the BC Pairs Championships is being held at New Westminster LBC. There are 20 Women's Team's and 20 Men's Teams all trying to become this years Canadian Champ. The Canadian Championships will be held in Edmonton, Alberta from August 14 - 20th at the Commonwealth Lawn Bowling Club. In a time where Clubs are struggling for numbers the Calgary Club has stepped up with some funding to open a brand new facility to aid.
