It was a repeat performance from the 2015 BC Mixed Pairs Championships as Hirendra Bhartu and Josephine Lee added to their already impressive Mixed Pairs trophy case. This was the 6th time the duo has won the Mixed Pairs title and 7th for Josephine. They will head off to the Glenridge LBC in Ontario to.

It has been a great weekend of Bowls action at the West Van LBC as the 2016 Mixed Pairs Championships continues. There were some great games that were played today and some that came right down to the wire to make the Final Four. Tomorrow morning will feature the final four so feel free to come.

This weekend we will be the last Provincial Championships of the year as the BC Mixed Pairs Championship being held in West Vancouver, BC. The field of 24 Teams will take to the greens tomorrow with daily draws at 10:00am, 1:30pm and 5:00pm. Come on down to the Club to watch some of the best.

It was a great weekend for Bowls on the Island as the 2016 BC Triples Championships were held at the Victoria Lawn Bowling Club from July 22-24th.  It has been a special two weeks for Team David Mathie as the Trio of David Mathie, George Cubiss, Arthur Harrison, showed that they can play at any.

This weekend will be the last opportunity for BC players to make their way to the Canadian Championships  being held later this summer in Edmonton, Alberta at the Commonwealth Lawn Bowls Club. The 2016 BC Provincial Triples starts this morning at the Victoria Lawn Bowling Club in Beacon Hill Park. A jammed packed weekend will.

The rosters are set and British Columbia Bowls stars, Pricilla Westlake (Tsawwassen LBC ) and Steven Santana (West Van LBC) will be heading to Christchurch, New Zealand for the 2016 World Bowls Championships. The event will be held from November 29th – December 11th with play split between Burnside Bowling Club, Fendalton Bowling Club and Bowls Papanui..

This year Bowls BC has been working hard to provide its members with new programs to help further develop skills in the areas of Coaching, Officiating and Player Development. These clinics will be continued throughout the year and will continue to be part of the program in the future. Simply put we need more Coaches.

Bowls BC offers financial support to affiliated clubs for programs and events for the recruitment of new members. The typical funding available is $100/club and maximum funding available is $500 per club. If some clubs do not request a subsidy, the remaining funds in the budget may be disbursed to clubs that report multiple events..

The Bowls BC Champion of Champions Pairs is a competitive opportunity for members at all Bowls BC affiliated lawn bowling clubs. Each Club will be eligible to submit a Men’s entry and a Woman’s entry to the Bowls BC Champion of Champions Pairs tournaments to be held at White Rock LBC & Mann Park LBC on.
