The BC Indoor Championship season is upon us and the Women have started this weekend April 1-3 at the Pacific Indoor Bowls Club. They will play through the weekend with the Championships game being held on April 3rd at 10:00am. This year features players from around the Province as a Qualifier was.

Delta, British Columbia's Pricilla Westlake will be returning home with a Bronze Medal for Canada. Westlake was participating in the 2016 World Cup at the Warilla Bowls & Recreation Club in NSW, Australia. Pricilla Westlake has continued here dominant run at the 2016 World Cup as she defeated Carla Krizanic of Australia in a thrilling game that was went down to a tiebreak, 2-1. This has been an amazing performance by Pricilla has moved into the Playoff Section at the World Cup. She finish up the Round Robin.

Great news from Australia as we received an email from Aidan Davis, Communications Director at Bowls Australia. The World Cup will be streaming the Semi Finals and the Finals live from Warrilla Australia. Our BC Bowler Pricilla Westlake is in the hunt right now and has a chance to get through to.

Team BC Women participated in the 2016 Tiger Bowls in Hong Kong, China March 12-13th  and the China Open Championship in Shenzhen, China set to take place March 14-17th 2016. The Team played hard and had a great time on their trip. They represented our Province and Country with great sportsmanship both on and off.

With two days gone by at the World Cup in Warilla, Australia – British Columbia athlete Pricilla Westlake continues to impress as she beat one of the number one bowlers on the planet. In a tight game she outlasted Siti Zalina Ahmad of Malaysia. This is a huge feather in Pricilla's cap as Siti.

Maple Ridge Lawn Bowling Club will be holding their annual Men’s Open Triples tournament - April 24th at 9:00am. This is always a great way to start the year by playing on the artificial surface. The tournament fills up quickly so please get your entries in right away.
