As per usual the Juan De Fuca greens were in great condition as this year JDFLBC hosted the 2016 BC Singles Championships. With some exciting games and wild finishes it was Mary Wright and Gordie Fall taking the titles and moving on to represent British Columbia at the Canadian Championships being held this year.

The start of the second day is about to s the BC Pairs Championships is being held at New Westminster LBC. There are 20 Women's Team's and 20 Men's Teams all trying to become this years Canadian Champ. The Canadian Championships will be held in Edmonton, Alberta from August 14 - 20th at the Commonwealth Lawn Bowling Club. Bowls BC would like to extend a big Congratulations to the Calgary Lawn Bowling Club http://www.calgarylawnbowlingclub.ca/ who most recently opened their doors to a new facility in the City. In a time where Clubs are struggling for numbers the Calgary Club has stepped up with some funding to open a brand new facility to aid.

The King of the Carpet is going on this weekend at the Pacific Indoor Bowls Club as the 2016 BC Men's Indoor Championships are currently being played.  Players from across the Province had made their way to the PIBC to earn the chance to represent British Columbia at this year's Canadian Championships.
