In order to help clubs not only survive, but thrive, Bowls Canada has developed a one-day workshop for club Board of Directors. The workshop focuses on training and planning. A study from the British Journal of Health Psychology showed that 91% of participants who had a plan achieved their goal, compared to 38% of participants who did not.

The Bowls BC Board and Executives would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. The new year will bring some exciting times as 2020 will prove to be another great year for Lawn Bowling in our Province.  

Once again this year Bowls BC and Bowls Alberta, will be conducting the West vs West Test Series that features Team BC taking on Team Alberta. Together both Provinces have agreed to continue with event as the event will highlight Athletic Development where athletes are seeking the opportunity to reach for new heights with their Bowling.

A great week at lawn bowls was held at the Pacific Indoor Bowls Club as competitors from across country would make their way to the Indoor Championships fighting it out for the right to represent Canada at the World Indoor Bowls Championship being held in Bristol, England next April. Once again this year the Pacific Indoor Bowls Club is playing host to the 2019 Canadian Indoor Singles Championships. The tournament will run from October 21-26, 2019. This year the field will have 12 Women and 12 Men from across the Country that will make their way to Vancouver to earn the right to represent.
