Once again this year the Pacific Indoor Bowls Club is playing host to the 2019 Canadian Indoor Singles Championships. The tournament will run from October 21-26, 2019. The Blind Bowlers Association of Canada (BBAC) national championships held in Edmonton are now history. Nanaimo LBC was represented by 4 bowlers and 3 sighted helpers. There was also a bowler from Kelowna to complete the BC team. Our bowlers had to pay an overweight charge on the return flight because of the number of medals.

It was a fantastic weekend of lawn bowls as New Westminster was the setting once again this year as they hosted the 2019 British Columbia Mixed Pairs Championships. Carey Manns / Gigi Lai were a force to be reckon with all weekend as they would go undefeated through a tough field to eventually win the gold.
